Yes, that looks like what is happening.  In addition to my prior message 
showing two apparently conflicting -runtime options being passed to the 
compiler, I notice this message:

 >#   Unknown option 'runtime'
 >
 >Errors caused tool to abort.

By the way, I just merged the status/Jamfile sane-testing branch into the 
main trunk. AFAIKS, it is working well.
