Yeah. I see no way of fully detecting an empty argument without
well-defined behavior when token-pasting results in multiple tokens. This
is exactly, IMHO, the type of thing that should be well-defined. It is not
dependent on the platform or architecture; it is just left undefined for no
reason. :(
