Personally I would prefer that, yes (not for BOOST_STATIC_CONSTANT
though, as I said in the other post). The important thing to consider
is that -b- may change the size of enums, and thus affects binary
compatibility. I don't know if that's really a problem for any of
Python, Regex, and Threads.
