I'm new to Boost and unfamiliar with the local culture. The open-
source religion has many sects, some of which are quite zealous.
And I'd rather not kick off my involvement in Boost my offending
huge numbers of people.

You are correct. But we are not doing that; we are just using the
same licensing agreement as GNU, so this is not a problem.
