I have tried D/L code from files on yahoo, and running make on Redhat 9 linux.  
This is:
gcc version 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)

Unfortuntately, I only have 512M memory on AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+

It seems that compiling on this platform sucks up too much memory, and would 
never have completed in any remotely reasonable amount of time.

I realize that this is really a flaw in gcc, not in fc++ per se, but it makes 
fc++ pretty much unusable on this platform.   I wonder if there is any way to 
improve the situation?
