Personally, I'd like to avoid having anything GPL'd in the Boost
repository. The GPL isn't well-understood, and to some extend it is feared
because it takes a whole lot of lawyers a whole lot of time to figure out
whether having some particular GPL'd code in your project somewhere means
that the whole thing needs to be GPL'd. I _don't_ want lawyer X at company
X to find some GPL'd file in Boost and shriek "Ack, drop Boost or we'll
have to rewrite _everything_", because even if he's wrong the damage will
have been done.
