I did and:
- with 1.31RC1 it doesn't compile
- with your patch it compiles

for both Intel 7.0 and 8.0 for Windows, installed as plugin into VC6 IDE.
All settings are default.

With /Zc:wchar_t  RC1 work, your version too.
