Doh! Constantly calling things constant confused me (not difficult it seems!)

I think I've got it right now but the result is still not good news.
(Messages zipped and attached).

Fails at get - might be fixed by adding typename, but I'm not quite sure where.
(Might it help to use strict mode for your compiler?)

However, the major snag is MS lack of __typeof__.  Until this is solved, it is a
non-starter :-((
