[boost] Need fixes for ios_state_unit_test (was: Boost-wide reports: Time to join in!)

Does anyone know how to fix the problems with ios_state_unit_test given at
<http://tinyurl.com/7yjj2>[2]?  I want it to replace the older test already
there, but I can't while there's problems.

And all the "darwin" entries seem blank.  Why?
