All still passing for CW-8.3 and Apple GCC 3.3 on OSX 10.2, G3.

I let the release variant compile for cw-83 this time around. Took a 
while but it eventually finished and works without problems. SO at least 
it's not an infinite optimization problem.. It's just slow.
