The only change *to the code* during the typeof review was to work-around
the VC8.0 bug that showed up during the review.  I felt this was important
enough to fix right away.  The change was minimal (a few lines of code).  I
believe this was done in compliance with the Boost review guidelines.

We did replace the docs entirely, but there was a specific request for this,
and we could have provided the old version anytime if anybody had been
interested.

So, IMHO, there was no "poor stewardship".

One thing that might have been done during the typeof review, I think, was
to extend the review period...

The other minor problem I had was that we didn't get your own review ;-)
