Hi Bernhard,
I strongly request you look into the Adobe Source Libraries forest
implementation:
<http://opensource.adobe.com/group__forest__related.html>
The data structure is truly remarkable in that it is designed in such
a generic way that multiple iterator adaptors have been written for it
to accomodate several different common types of trees. I submit to you
that it would make a good starting point for a generic Boost tree
container. The code is freely available and distributable, and you are
welcome to use it however you see fit. If you have any questions
please do not hesitate to ask.
Blessings,
Foster
