Am I the only one disturbed by the difficulties we have in getting an 
"official stable release" out? :-)

If this persists, I believe that we'll need to offer "unstable" but frequent 
releases as well. The current two options of either waiting (and waiting, 
and waiting) for 1.34 or using the CVS HEAD (which isn't being tested 
because all testing resources are on the release branch) are, in my opinion, 
inadequate.
