How is your approach better than:

// Untested code
#include <stdexcept>

// Generic handler function
void HandleException()
{
  try
  {
    throw;
  }
  catch (const std::logic_error &)
  {
    // whatever
  }
  catch (const std::exception &)
  {
     // whatever
  }
}

int main()
{
  try
  {
    // throwing code
  }
  catch (...)
  {
    HandleException();
  }

  return 0;
}

?
