I agree with you completely, given the scenario of needing some code
that Boost offers. But the other alternative is to not use a shared_ptr
at all. We would just go on writing code that is not as good, slower,
buggier, etc., the way we traditionally write code. The libraries offer
better code, but their cost is a risk that would be much reduced, if
they were standard libraries. At least that's our perception.
