Here IMO is the problem. Elsewhere you say that a pixel is exactly equivalent to
a Colour, but what would a colour iterator be?.
Quote from the GIL design guide:
"A pixel is a set of channels defining the color at a given point in an image."
There is more than just colour to a pixel AFAIKS.
