Running "bjam.exe -sTOOLS=vc-7_1 -gdp boost_thread" produces "libboost_thread-vc71-mt-sgd-1_33_1.lib"
Close but no cigar.

According to this, "gdp" means debug mode compilation with
debug-version of CRT, with STLPort.
