FWIW Gennadiy is right here with respect to the agreed upon
serialization support in 1.34.0. Thanks Gennadiy for wrangling with vc6
so that our regression testing is still working. That being said I would
certainly appreciate small low risk changes that solve
regression/functionality problems in other libraries with vc6. AFAICS
this can provide great value at little cost. Whether the proposed change
is in that category is not for me to tell.
