Ask a company layer, project manager, sysadmin that question to get an 
idea of the magnitude of the leap.

Perhaps because it was easy enough to find the info with a bit of 
reading/searching <http://boost.org/more/release_procedures.htm>.

But at this point I'm confused about goals... If you are not discussing 
an existing Boost library, nor discussing a possible Boost library 
submission. What are you trying to achieve by asking questions in this 
group?
