There are some good logging libraries out there, e.g.
http://pantheios.sourceforge.net/. It's solid design based on SysLog
protocol with great performance,
http://pantheios.sourceforge.net/performance.html.

I would love to see a logging library in Boost, and I wish it could be
better or on a par with pantheios. 

BTW, pantheios is one of several projects hosted at
http://www.stlsoft.org.

I would also like to know about this please. We could definitely use a 
standardized Logging facility.
