This is the follow-up of the Debian Release Manager:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2007/08/msg00016.html
BTW, I just finished the Boost 1.34.1-1 package for experimental in
order to start a better transition.
I readded default symlinks to let people link _single-thread_ libraries
simply using switches like -lboost_date_time, while for the multi-thread
ones -lboost_date_time-mt is still required.
It looks like users can't live without them. Evidently source portability
is not such a hot-topic for many. I cannot care less, now it is their
problem.
Cheers,
Domenico
