These failures seem to be appearing at random: last time it was a TR1 test, 
but now that's passing, but some type traits tests have started failing with 
no message instead.  Anyone any ideas?

We really need to get the failures consistent to stand any chance of nailing 
down a release.  Many thanks, John.
