I disagree. If I am not writing generic code,
struct myCombiner {
... operator()(...) const { ... }
};
should be perfectly fine.
Also, polymorphic function objects should be okay:
struct myCombiner {
template<class Codomain>
... operator()(...) const {... ]
};
