Your response was very helpful. It made it clear to me how you intent the geometry library to work. I will have to think about whether the proposed output converter will be able to resolve the problem of the floating-point output. (Note that the other discussed approaches were unable to produce floating-point output fulfilling Luke's requirements, so this is a nontrivial question.)
