Hi,

The attached (minimal) patch addresses ticket #2761:

I tested the fix on my platform (gcc 4.0.1/darwin) and it didn't break
any tests.  Could this be committed to trunk? (I *think* I might even
be able to do the commit myself, if it is OK).
