IME, there is no evidince to support this assertion, or the contrary.

However, this is *way* off topic. If you would like to argue the
merits of C over C++, what you *can't* do with C++, whether C++ is
relevant as a language, or <insert your OFF-topic here>, then please
take it on over to comp.lang.c++.
