I like the main thrust of this proposal, but there was one point of discussion I wanted to jump in on.

Even if there were, depending on what its semantics are within the bug tracking system I might suggest avoiding it.

My group made an explicit decision to never use bugzilla's "Resolve / Remind" and "Resolve / Later" states, because these indicate that the bug is "resolved" when in fact it isn't, just de-prioritized. Instead we have milestones such as "future" or "backlog" for issues which we have not yet scheduled to be worked on.
