The filesystem path streaming operator (>>) has a bug, documented 
here:

A patch was provided, and was implemented on the trunk, detailed 
here:

The fix was not merged to the Release branch, so missed the 1.45 release.
Please can this be merged, so it gets into the 1.46 release?
