I'd like to propose that we follow the Clang approach. Instead of
playing with one Boost library converted to git, let's convert the
entire SVN repo in it's current structure to git, and publicly
maintain it by adding an SVN post-commit hook to run 'git svn fetch'
following each SVN commit to bring the git repo up to date (or update
the git mirror every few hours via cron).
I'm happy to offer resources to establish and maintain a git mirror if
that would help.
