I'm not so sure of that, can't it be built as a separate layer?

I have to agree with Marsh's comment here; expression templates can be a 
problem for standardization or widespread use.

I'm fine with a bigint library that doesn't do expression templates, as 
long as I can use it for the evaluation of my expressions.
