No one would argue against a simpler interface that does all of what Boost.Convert does. Would you take the time to suggest a complete design? That would be fairest to Vladimir who spent a long time trying to devise a useful interface that encompassed the several usage styles wanted and likely won't easily be able to look past the current design to something else now. Besides, it would provide a concrete idea others can see and discuss.
