He probably thought you already had trunk access. You'll need access in order to follow up on any problems that crop up. IMO it would be best for you to sign up to as a maintainer of the lib ... ask Fernando for permission and then ask the moderators (boost-owner_at_...) for the account ... if you're willing to take the responsibility.
