   Hi.

   The change has been reverted. Non-versioned library variants no 
longer get built when the versioned library layout is requested on 
Windows & *nix and the original syntax errors are back in the code base.

   I do not know but should be easy enough for him to determine by 
rerunning the build based on the current release branch HEAD.
