same `stack overflow' that i've seen in some other win32 tests ... it
seems that win32 does not like that to allocate large objects on the
Boost list run by bdawes at acm.org, gregod at cs.rpi.edu, cpdaniel at pacbell.net, john at johnmaddock.co.uk
