If you are really interested in this, you can try building the tests with
MSVC. Commit any changes you want if you can come up with work-arounds, as
long as you don't break GCC or Clang support in the process. If you decide
to try this, it may help to follow the instructions for enabling
preprocessed headers, which will likely avoid a plethora of preprocessor
issues : http://generic.nfshost.com/generic/getting_started.html

I haven't even bothered attempting to build with MSVC, so it will likely
not be fun.
