Yes. Timer change indeed makes sense. Not quite remember why it was never 
applied. Maybe at the time I was looking to enhance performance testing in 
general and got lost in many facets of new chrono library. 

This needs to be done.

These will need to be reviewed again. I remember having some issues with 
this.
