kqueues really are the correct design for i/o multiplexing. I
implemented these for QNX whilst at BlackBerry and you really began
to realise just how the Linux approach is braindead at scale.
To my knowledge though, no progress. A good userspace emulation
exists though, I think it even attempted to work on Windows :).
