That'd work indeed. Meanwhile I've tried the compile-time string
comparison approach, inspired by Scott Schurr's str_const
(http://stackoverflow.com/a/15863826). It already works, but it's not
easily readable... I'll add it to my pull request, you'll tell me
whether you deem it acceptable or not.
