Does
https://github.com/boostcon/2011_presentations/raw/master/mon/Boost.Build.pdf
somewhat help? When I worked on the presentation, I wasn't an expert (I
exchanged countless of emails with Vladimir back then in 2011 who gave me a
lot of background information). I tried to present all the information in a
way that it made sense to me and hopefully to others who find the build
system to be a mystery. While the presentation is out there on GitHub for
years, I feel hardly anybody knows about it (or maybe people know but the
presentation isn't that helpful?).
