[boost] Using thread_local with Boost.Thread

Hi there,
I am curious whether it would be possible to use C++11 thread_local 
instead of Boost's own TLS, while continuing to use Boost.Thread ? I 
assume that there will be problems if Boost falls back to native pthread 
?
