Right.  At Boost we have a long tradition of just letting people propose 
and try stuff without necessarily getting a consensus first.  It's our 
way of avoiding the "design/management by committee" paralysis syndrome. 
I think it works well for us.  But it IS very painful when one's idea is 
not successful.  I am constantly reminded this first hand.
