i tried that
git clone --recursive https://github.com/boostorg/boost.git git_boost
cd git_boost
mkdir _build
cd _build
cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=_install
-DBOOST_INCLUDE_LIBRARIES="thread;asio"
cmake --build . --target install -j16
got me 49MB and 5000 files - still big but better then my tests before
Boost list run by bdawes at acm.org, gregod at cs.rpi.edu, cpdaniel at pacbell.net, john at johnmaddock.co.uk
