CodeWarrior 6 shipped in September of 2000.  6.1 was released in February of 2001 and included a number of fixes to the standard library implementation.  6.2 is scheduled to be released the week of May 21.

My understanding is that CodeWarrior 5.3 is obsolete, and has been for some
time.  Thus it seems odd to waste time trying to get code to run on 5.3.
