I wonder if it would be possible to set a CVS tag on the older version which 
is comptible with boost-1.31.x and earlier.

I expect most people are more likely to be using the releases uBLAS version 
and I don't wish to force people to use the CVS HEAD version which we need 
for testing new changes.
