how to disable autolink feature?

dear boost-users, could someone explain me how to disable the autolink feature of boost? why? 1. no hassle with configurations ( i become independent from the compile mode, i.e. debug/release/multithreaded etc) 2. i do NOT like to be forced to any naming conventions for the libs 3. i do not want to build the full boost lib, just want to include the .cpp files from the few libs of boost i'm using. just including the cpp files works, but the project does not link because visual c++ stops linking because it does not find the libs automagically and unwanted inserted into my project by autolink somewhere.. sadly there even is no simple way to disable the #pragma comment(lib, "autolinkwantstogivealongnametoiostreams.lib"). so what to do? is there a flag to disable autolink?

Hello I have sucessfully compiled the Boost Library, but I can`t use it. I get a error an the programm chrashes. I have testes it with the files in the example folder. Perhaps anyone can give me a hint, how I get ahead or where my error lies? Which I did: 0) Executed Borland builder Patch No. 4 1) Downloaded Spirit 1.6.3, set environment variable SPIRIT_ROOT on the Spirit listing 2) Set environment variable BCCROOT on c:\programme\borland\cbuilder6 3) Dowloaded the Boost LIBRARY (tried one after the other from 1_32-1_33 beta, all versions), and set the BOOST_ROOT environment variable to the listing in which I boost unpacked. 4) At the Boost tools\build\listing\build.bat executed (compiles correctly for Boland) 5) Executed tools\build\jam_src\bin.ntx86\bjam.exe "- sTOOLS=borland" install (compiled also, but with few warnings) 6) At the listing, in which I unpacked Boost, I started the libs\thread\example file once.cpp 7) I made a Porjekt to compile the file 8) I set atthe project settings the include path on C:\Boost\include\boost-1_32 9) I set atthe project attitudes the LIBRARY path on C:\Boost\lib \ 10) The program compiled and linked 11) When starting the project it crhases immediately and started the monitor, which indicates the storage addresses to me. Intel Compiler on Windows with stlport

Hello, I am recently moving from Microsoft to Intel C++ Compiler on windows. Currently I am as well using (|vc-7_1-stlport|) stlport. On the boost documentation page for intel Compiler (http://www.boost.org/tools/build/v1/intel-win32-tools.html) is written that the base toolset for it could |msvc|, |vc7|, or |vc-7_1|. However, |vc-7_1-stlport| is not mentioned. If I set the base toolset |INTEL_BASE_MSVC_TOOLSET| to |vc-7_1-stlport |(and setting the proper stlport options) the build does not produce any error, but I am not sure it is compiling what I want.. ;) It is that enough or do I have to modify the procedure in some way? I keep on getting the error: c:\temp\boost\boost_1_33_0\boost/type_traits/is_abstract.hpp(81): error: incomplete type is not allowed BOOST_STATIC_ASSERT(sizeof(T) != 0); ^ detected during: instantiation of class "boost::detail::is_abstract_imp2<T> [with T=TxsOqSourceMaterialization]" at line 121 I checked that I have put the appropriate archive statement in class.
