Dear all, Sorry for the newbie question! Given the index of a vertex, how can I get its descriptor? I guess function vertex (page 225 of The Boost Graph Library) does that but the function is not defined. In fact, what I want to do is to check whether an edge belongs to a graph in a context where descriptors get invalidated after vertex removals? Suppose I have done this: // create a typedef for the Graph type typedef adjacency_list<vecS, vecS, bidirectionalS> Graph; // Make convenient labels for the vertices enum { A, B, C, D, E, N }; const int num_vertices = N; const char* name = "ABCDE"; // writing out the edges in the graph typedef std::pair<int, int> Edge; Edge edge_array[] = { Edge(A,B), Edge(A,D), Edge(C,A), Edge(D,C), Edge(C,E), Edge(B,D), Edge(D,E) }; const int num_edges = sizeof(edge_array)/sizeof(edge_array[0]); // declare a graph object Graph g(num_vertices); Then I remove some vertices. Now I want to check whether edge <A,B> is still there. Calling edge(A,B,g) would not be OK because the descriptors are no longer referring to the same vertices.... The fibonacci heap is behaving strange

Hi, I put in 0,1,2,3,4 into a Fibonacci heap, manipulate some and get 0,2,4,1,25 back. With the relaxed heap I get 0,2,4,1,3 back, which is as expected with my code. AFAIK this is due to a bug in the Fibonacci heap? Anyway here is code adopted from the cvs (fibonacci_heap.cpp) that reproduces the result on two different machines (intel/amd), where the programs are compiled using g++ 4.0.4. boost::array as part of container.

hi i would like to know how to insert boost::array into containers such as vectors, list, etc, in an effective and easy way.. tuples don't work cause you can't get to random access index. Thanks. AES word example. typedef boost::array<int, 4> word; std::vector vecOfWord; // perform some word insertion.

odd msvc 7.1 compilation errors with mpl

For some reason, I can't get the IDE to compile BOOST_MPL_ASSERT. I tried this: #include <boost/type_traits/is_same.hpp> #include <boost/mpl/assert.hpp> int main() { BOOST_MPL_ASSERT(( boost::is_same< char, char > )); } and it gives the following errors: d:\dev\boost.cvs\boost\libs\fusion\example\extension\test_example.cpp(31) : error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before '=' d:\dev\boost.cvs\boost\libs\fusion\example\extension\test_example.cpp(31) : error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before '=' what's even stranger is that i copied/pasted the pre-processed file, and that compiled just fine: static const std::size_t mpl_assertion_in_line_26 = sizeof( boost::mpl::assertion_failed<false>( boost::mpl::assert_arg( (void (*) ( boost::is_same< char, char > ))0, 1 ) ) ); anyone else seen something like this before?? all the mpl regression tests compile fine via bjam (using msvc 7.1), so it appears ide-specific, somehow... thanks, --craig ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Boost Lamdba: Binding to overloaded operator and templated functions???

Is it possible to bind to the following functions using boost.lamdba and if so how? class some_class { public: some_class operator % (int x) { return this } template<typename T> void foo(T x){ } }; I use the examples given in online-documentation but it gives me a lot of errors. Boost Graph - Sub Graph Bundled Properties Error

Could someone explain with the code below generates an error? The code worked fine with a standard boost graph (ie not a subgraph<>)...... I can create the sub graph, but cannot access the bundled properties data: typedef adjacency_list<listS, listS, undirectedS, VertexData, property<edge_index_t, int, EdgeData> > GraphType; typedef subgraph<GraphType> SubGraphType; SubGraphType SubGraph; SubGraphType::vertex_descriptor V = add_vertex(SubGraph); SubGraph[V].ID=1; ////ERROR!!!!!! Boost::wave, sample driver and how to use it

Hi, I don't undertand how wave works. I am trying to use it on a simple C header file. I have included System and user include paths and some defines but when I start wave sample driver wave.exe, nothing happens. What I want is to convert all the defines into native types, for instance. By the way the config file doesnt' seem to like windows path while it works on the command line. foo.h //-----// VOID foo(BYTE bTest, CHAR szTest); ULONG foo(LPBYTE bTest, CHAR szTest); I would like to get void foo(unsigned char bTest, char szTest); unsigned long foo(BYTE * bTest, char szTest); but maybe I haven't understood what a preprocessor was. If someone could help, it's really urgent.

configure boost on cygwin

Hi, I'm trying to use boost in a cygwin enviroment. I've installed the boost-1_33_1 libraries using the cygwin setup program. Ok, so basically I need to change the default in bjam to turn off wchar_t as a native type, because our project has issues with some legacy code which wouldn't comply otherwise. Any idea how to disable this in bjam? I searched through and couldn't find anything in any of the jam files that indicated that this setting was either on or off. I presume its been built with bjam so its not readily apparent what the switch setting the library is actually built with. I'm quite sure that this is ok as vc 6.5 tests work and this version of compiler only has wchar_t defined as a 16 bit integer.
