I am attempting to create a DAG with boost graph where the vertices are sorted. This would allow fast lookup by key - as in the following pseudo code: adjacency_list< setS, <custom_container or multisetS> bidirectionalS, Node_t> // struct that has the vertex data Graph; size_t find(const Graph& g, const T& t, std::vector<vertex_descriptor>& result) { std::pair<vertex_iterator, vertex_iterator> p = vertices(g); //The vertices are sorted vertex_iterator it = std::lower_bound(p.first, p.second, t); vertex_iterator end = std::upper_bound(p.first, p.second, t); std::vector<vertex_descriptor> tmp(it, end); result.swap(tmp); return result.size(); } My attempts to sort the actual vertices has been futile. I have tried using a mulitset as well as my own custom sorted container. I would like to avoid calling a seperate sort operation everytime a vertex is added, as this is a mutable graph - I was thinking I could insert the vertex into the sorted storage. Hello, I already sent this message to boost-users about 15 minutes ago. Unfortunately I did not receive a confirmation mail (probably a safe-mail issue), so I am trying it again... one of our customers wants us to compile a native Windows x64 build of our application. As we are using a lot of C++0x code, we are forced to use a Win64 port of gcc 4.x/MinGW (http://mingw-w64.sourceforge.net/) instead of the regular Visual Studio 8 x64 compiler. Unfortunately building boost with mingw-w64 fails. Hello, is there further documentation available somewhere for asio serial port components... ? especially about options setting... by the way, is there a portable way (or way on Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms to retrive serial ports list) ? Hi Peng, I can't figure out exactly what you're refering to. In which way are you trying to find the package (src, doc, download, etc.), and where (in the web, in tar.gz)? The solution isn't very pretty ... write a grammar that allows expressions with incompatible terminals, and then write a separate transform that checks the terminals for compatibility. This issue came up during Proto's review and I posted some example code here (see the SameTerminals transform): http://lists.boost.org/Archives/boost/2008/03/135169.php I wish I knew of a better solution. The canonical way to incorporate typing (including much richer type systems than this) in a formal grammar is through van Wijngaarden grammars. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algol68. It is possible to generate both the parser and type analysis from such a grammar, and compilers that do so still exist. Sadly, there is no Boost VWG library. Perhaps you'll write one?

Apple iPod uses Boost. At least looks like that.There's 'legal' in menu, where some software licenses are listed, the last one is Boost Software License. This may help someone to convince boss that Boost libraries are needed for any project, as they are used even in such tiny and useless thing ;-)
