LNK2019 with boost::thread_group [!]

Here is what I'm trying to do: boost::thread_group threadGroup; for( ; port_min <= port_max; ++port_min ) { threadGroup.add_thread(new boost::thread(boost::bind(CCUThread, port_min, strategy))); } I am getting the following error: error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl boost::assertion_failed(char const *,char const *,char const *,long)" (?assertion_failed@boost@@YAXPBD00J@Z) ..\bin\ccu_simulator.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals Is this Boost-related? I found one posting that was somewhat similar on the web, but the user found an error elsewhere, and it shed no light on the situation. I am also getting several other LNK1120 errors that may be related to Boost. I am converting working VS 6.0 (and occasionally 2005) code to VS 2008; this has caused this link error to appear. I also have changed Boost from v. 1.31 to 1.36; whether this affects the above linker errors I do not know. Any help would be appreciated. date formatting problem

Hi, I'm trying to read dates in "%d%m%Y" (DDMMYYYY). Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I've tried boost 1.33.1 and 1.36 What's wrong with my code? TIA

About boost.mpi and boost 1.35

Hello! I want to install boost.mpi on my ubuntu. Using the synaptic I have installed boost 1.35, boost-build and bjam to follow the instructions of http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_37_0/doc/html/mpi/getting_started.html#mpi.… They say that I should run "bjam --with-mpi" in the top-level boost directory, but it is not clear for me where is this directory. I try to run this command in every directory where it was something about boost but it didnot work. /usr/include /usr/share/boost-build /usr/share/boost-build/tools The error message that I obtain is: error: no Jamfile in current directory found I have tried to do the same in another computer and in this case I have installed manually boost 1.37 and here it is working. Do you know what is the problem? boost 1.35 supports boost.mpi? Do I need to download boost manually? Thank you very much. [Review] UUID library (mini-)review ends today, November 30rd
