Hi: How can I enable boost::mpi? I've tried adding # using mpi; to user-config.jam. This still tells me that mpi is disabled. What mpi options have Igot on win32 systems. [python] Exported class as mixin

Hi, I wonder if anyone can give me a hand with this problem here: I've got exported class: class_<MyInterface>( "MyInterface" ) ... And I've got class in Python: class ABC(object): ... I am doing some processing of the class definition in Python and want to be able to do the following (clazz here is ABC: clazz.__bases__ = (MyInterface,) + clazz.__bases__ I am getting following error: TypeError: __bases__ assignment: 'MyInterface' deallocator differs from 'object' I can add mixins defined in Python fine. Only mixins exported from C++ giving me a problem. Any advise? Gennadiy

BOOST_CHECK_EQUAL_COLLECTIONS fails to compile when comparing vector<wstring>

Hi, I am using Windows XP, boost 1.38 and mingw 3.4.5 (Code::Blocks IDE). I cannot compile BOOST_CHECK_EQUAL_COLLECTIONS when using wstring. I do not like the idea of doing a cast like this that obviously can fail if the wstring has a wide char that cannot be mapped to char properly. And it seems inappropriate to require the user to define such a thing. Is there a better way of solving this ? Can anything be done in the unit test framework itself to solve this in a better way ? I am a beginner with template metaprogramming so I ask the experts here to tell me if there is a better way or if that's the way it is and nothing can be done. Thank you for your attention ! Hi, I'm trying to use Boost.Test (dynamic variant) in a dll that also uses MFC. I'm using the console_test_runner application found in libs/test/tools to load my dll. My compiler is MSVC v8 and my OS is Windows Vista. Unfortunately, when the MFC dll gets unloaded prior to shutdown it invokes the CRT's memory leak detection routine which falsely reports that any memory allocated by the (yet to be unloaded) unit test framework has been leaked. Obviously, the problem here is with MFC and searching the 'net will yield numerous complaints on the topic. One such search turned up a promising workaround [1] that involves installing a custom report handler to "swallow" the extraneous memory leak reports. However it appears this approach is defeated by Boost.Test installing its own report handler when no debugger is present. Can anybody suggest a different workaround? The problem effectively renders Boost.Test unusable in this configuration when MFC is present. [Bind] creating a functio

I'm in the process of figuring out how to use the bind library. The section on operators seems to me missing the "," operator. I see || and && operators which would seem well suited to wrapping a few functions into one - but these would only work for functions returning a bool. How can/should one proceed to get the same functionality of && with function objects which return void? It looks to me that the "," operator should be in there. Robert Ramey

Boost.Test error in Xcode debug build

serialization singleton assert on iphone

Hi, I have an assert when exiting my application using the serialization lib of boost 1.38. BOOST_DLLEXPORT static T & get_instance() { static detail::singleton_wrapper<T> t; // refer to instance, causing it to be instantiated (and // initialized at startup on working compilers) assert(! detail::singleton_wrapper<T>::m_is_destroyed); use(instance); return static_cast<T &>(t); } The same code doesn't assert on windows XP so I guess that's something messy with static allocation on the iphone platform. On the iphone, the load/save code works well as long as it's not called when the application exit. As far I as I understand, I need to move my exit code somewhere else, when those singleton are still allocated. Can somebody confirm that? Or maybe I'm missing something... Any feedback warmly welcome! thanks
