Why there are accepted libraries that doesn't included in boost distribution yet ?

I just perused the formal review lists in boost website and I noticed there are some libraries like scope exit and factory that's been flagged as accepted but not in included in current boost distribution. ASIO COM Port & Pins

Hi, I have to read from an (virtual) comport to receive the event from a photosensor. There is no protocol, just if something passes through, there is at pin x power (pins 4,6 and 7,8). I've seen the example for the COM Port usage with asio, sofar I've not seen anything to monitor a single/multiple pins. http://www.nabble.com/Simple-serial-port-demonstration-with-boost-asio-asyn… Also I am not sure, if I need to, would it be enough, to just connect and then perform an async_read on the comport? Actually I don't have to get the data really, as its probably not really "data", all I need to know is when data comes in. Is asio the right library to handle this? STLport + Boost + 64bit linux m/c - compilation error

Hi, I'm trying to build boost against STLport-5.2.1 on 64-bit linux m/c with 64-bit gcc-4.3.2, but I get following error: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- /app/home/vgupta20/software/STLport-5.2.1/stlport/assert.h:35:6: error: #error assert has been defined before inclusion of assert.h header. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm building using following steps which worked fine with STLport-5.1.5 and on 32-bit linux m/c: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- If boost is needed to be used with stlport, it should be compiled against stlport as follows: 1. Download or build 'bjam'. Copy it to the root dir of boost. 2. bjam is a tool to compile boost. Before we compile we need to give the paths to stlport include and lib directories. It can be specified in the file: './tools/build/v2/user-config.jam', also uncomment the line 'using gcc' in this file. Go to the boost root dir. Then run ./bjam stdlib=stlport --toolset=gcc --build-type=complete stage Otherwise we can give it online arguments as ./bjam stdlib=stlport -sSTLPORT_INCLUDE_DIRECTORY=$STLPORT/stlport -sSTLPORT_LIB_DIRECTORY=$STLPORT/lib --toolset=gcc --build-type=complete stage If only 'regex' library is needed, add '--with-regex' to the above commands. 3. After compilation we must get the libraries with '-p' flag in the name. ASIO, UDP and multiple Ethernet interfaces

I have a machine with two Ethernet interfaces. I want to create a UDP socket for each interface, so that I can send datagrams out separately over each interface. date_time examples problem

In building the examples for boost date_time I have come across the following issue: example/tutorial/io_tutorial.cpp:2: /usr/local/include/boost-1_37/boost/date_time/tz_db_base.hpp:161: error: declaration of 'typedef class boost::date_time::dst_adjustment_offsets<typename time_zone_type::time_duration_type> boost::date_time::tz_db_base<time_zone_type, rule_type>::dst_adjustment_offsets' /usr/local/include/boost-1_37/boost/date_time/time_zone_base.hpp:76: error: changes meaning of 'dst_adjustment_offsets' from 'class boost::date_time::dst_adjustment_offsets<typename time_zone_type::time_duration_type>' This also occurs for anywhere #include <boost/date_time/local_time/local_time.hpp> occurs. Thanks, I had both macros in the header file. I moved the BOOST_CLASS_EXPORT macro to the cpp file and that seems to have fixed it. Now I just need to get things working in my own code.
